Volusia County’s new Permit and Code Concierge Service provides residents and business owners with personalized service and a dedicated liaison to assist with their permitting and code needs. Navigating those processes can be cumbersome for those who don’t do it on a regular basis, but the County’s concierge liaisons can assist with identifying the most efficient path, directly interacting with other County departments and achieving an optimal outcome.

Serving as a single point of contact, concierge liaisons will help residents and businesses interested in developing, expanding, or modifying property in unincorporated areas of Volusia County and those seeking assistance with permitting, code requirements, and a variety of other County services and processes, including:

  • Planning, land development, and land modification projects
  • Building, construction, pool, and fence permits
  • Fire code requirements
  • Water, wastewater, and utility connections
  • Waste management services
  • Transportation infrastructure issues

The liaisons also serve as the client’s advocate and representative in facilitating communication with pertinent Volusia County departments, troubleshooting potential obstacles, and expediting the process of conducting business with Volusia County. The on-demand Permit and Code Concierge Service is offered free of charge by Volusia County to foster a more efficient, expedient, and convenient way in which residents, local businesses, and other stakeholders can engage with their local government.
