The Volusia County Division of Corrections' Re-Entry Program provides opportunities to business owners to match with individuals being released from the facility. 

Securing employment before release can significantly increase an individual’s successful re-entry into the community and reduce the rate of recidivism. 

The program provides job training and self-improvement courses on a continuous basis to better prepare the newly released chances of employability and reduce re-offending.

We provide assistance at no cost to businesses with the desire and potential for growth within Volusia County. VCED provides guidance and assistance to start-up, second stage, and maturing businesses. 

VCED participates in a wide range of development projects with both county and municipal jurisdictions through the following:

  • Grant fund acquisition
  • Incentive program facilitation
  • Ombudsman
