DESCRIPTION:Be part of the excitement and discover the next generation of businesses shaping the future of Volusia County at the 2026 Volusia Innovation Challenge Pitch Competition! \nThe Volusia Innovation Challenge offers aspiring entrepreneurs\, innovators\, and small business owners a chance to interact with attendees during the Innovation Showcase portion of the program. \nThe Showcase is a key component of the event\, giving participants the opportunity to present their business idea\, receive valuable feedback\, and connect with key members of the business community\, including potential investors. \nCast your vote for one of the many creators and entrepreneurs exhibiting at the event’s Innovation Showcase. This year’s showcase will be larger than 2025 and will include five cash prizes for People’s Choice awards. \nWatch the Pitch Competition where finalists will pitch their innovative business concept or idea to a panel of judges and compete for the top prize of $10\,000 to launch or scale up their ventures. \nEach finalist will have five minutes to explain their concept and judges will consider the following to determine the winner: \n\nMarket Viability\nInnovation and Differentiation\nFeasibility\nFinancial Viability\n\nPitch Competition Prizes awarded \n\nFirst place: $10\,000\nSecond place: $5\,000\n\nThis is a prime opportunity for you to interact with the next generation of innovators and learn more about their business product. \nEnjoy an evening of innovation\, networking and discovery. Beverages and light Hors d’oeuvres will be served. \nPLEASE NOTE: Register online and show your event ticket to parking attendants in the West or South Lot Parking areas to obtain free parking for the event. If you do not have your ticket\, you will be responsible for any parking fees. \nThe event will be held on the second level in meeting rooms 201 A-B-C. Enter the Ocean Center on the south side at Auditorium Blvd. across from the Peabody. \n  \nFAQ: \n\nIs this event free to attend?\nYes\, the event is open to the public and registration is required to obtain free parking.\n\nWhere is parking available?\nFree Parking is provided in either the West or South parking lots.
